Hornby R4143A Pullman 1st Class Parlour Car "Niobe" 00 Gauge Unused and Boxed Condition George Pullman made sleeping cars in America from 1857. Pullman cars were the most luxurious in the world. Britain introduced the cars from America in 1874. The Hornby models are based on the cars built in the 1920s, during the golden age of steam. The Parlour Car has magnificent detailing in Pullman brown and gold livery and with the Pullman Crest, interior working brass table lamps and sprung buffers. All wheels and couplings are present and correct, wheels are free running and in full running order. The markings are distinct with no damage, a fine example of this luxurious coach.
